1006 Learning Game – ACTLAN Karuta Cards

Games are fun and an essential part of a creative classroom.  Students learn more Japanese because playing games encourages kids to use spontaneous language.

ACTLAN Karuta (アクトランかるた)

Karuta is a Japanese card game.  The aim of the game is to grab the required card quicker than your opponents.  There are two types of cards for this game:

1. Reading cards - one person reads out the hint for the required card
2. Grabbing cards - picture card which relates to a particular reading card

ACTLAN Karuta reinforces the lessons used in the ACTLAN method.
